Hi! I'm Kazuri. I record and produce music.
I have been living and breathing music my entire life. I was born and raised in Japan where my first interaction with music began when I was 2 years old. I asked Santa for a musical bell tree that played Do-Re-Mi and from that moment on, I've always been captivated by music.
I began studying classical piano at age 7 and quickly found I had an ear for sound and music. Though I enjoyed performing, I eventually realized my passion for delving deeper into the intricacies of music’s sonic and musical qualities, and analyzing its complexities.
It was inevitable that I would eventually find myself in Nashville, the music city of America, where every facet of music is present.. Some would say I was in the right place at the right time, but I truly feel fortunate to have started my music recording career at the now world renowned Blackbird Studio C under the apprenticeship of George Massenburg (link). Working alongside him has provided me with some of the most challenging, yet invaluable experiences I could have asked for. Over the years, George has helped me to understand the true meaning of music production and record-making.
With nearly two decades of experience in Nashville's music recording industry, my passion for helping artists achieve their dreams has only grown stronger. As the music business and consumption patterns continue to evolve, the traditional ways of doing things may not be suitable for everyone. Some artists may prefer to stick to traditional methods of music-making, while others may embrace new techniques. Regardless of the approach, I am committed to being a part of the process and helping artists in any way that I can. My goal is to offer my expertise and support to make your dreams a reality.
